8/30 - first day in Oahu

Whoa, amazing, amazing day! Sooo first of all, I woke up at 3AM, because Chloe couldn't get off of her bed, so I helped her, and then went back to bed. Then I woke up at 7:30, 'cause I was afraid that we'll miss the breakfast, so I had a little time to chat with my mom and my friends. After Chloe woke up as well we got ready and at 9 o'clock we left to get free breakfast, which was peanutbutter and jelly toast. It was quite alright. Then no kidding, we spend 6 hours on the beach, just relaxing, going in-out of the OCEAN -Moana-, lauging, chatting. I have to mention, that a random lady, who was relaxing around us in a floating thingy said that she loves my laughter, it is so hearty. We left the beach at 3 we came back to the hostel to get a shower and change -when we arrived the cleaning lady was leaning our room so we had a chat with her. She said that I don't sound hungarian, she thought I was from the USA... I love it here. People keep complementing on me... ...

08/29 - Travelling towards my dream

On Tuesday we left the hotel, said goodbye to Cris and walked all the way to Port Authority Bus Terminal at 3 AM. The subway took us to the JFK airport. We arrived there at 3:30 AM and after checking Claire in, we said goodbye. I didn't think I could cry since I was so tired, but turns out, you can cry just as well. Since our gates with Chloe opened just at 7AM, we still had 3 hours that we spent sitting on the ground, talking, using WiFi, still processing the fact that we are going to Hawai'i. Had a donut and caramel cappucino from Dunkin' Donuts as a breakfast at 5 AM. Eventually, after 7AM we checked Chloe's luggage in, and shortly after that, we said goodbye so I could go to my terminal and check in. I did and went through security pretty quickly, and after waiting an hour, we started boarding and travelled all the way to Los Angeles. I have to mention the fact that we flought over the Grand Canyon and it was incredible! After a short layover -1 hour- I got on an...

08/28 - A day in New York City

We woke up around 9 AM, but we didn't leave straight. Instead of doing that, we watched The Princess Diaries on TV. After the movie and getting ready, at 12 we left the accomodation to get some breakfast. We found a place right next to our place called the Urban Place, and it was awesome! We got donuts and coffe/hot chocholate, which was amazing. The place itself was such a vintage place, I would love to go there every day if I'd be an urban. After breakfast we checked out the Grand Central Station, New York Public Library -absolute favourite of the day, I saw Winnie The Pooh and his friends!!- High Line Park - which is built over train rails-, we took the Staten Island Ferry, which was free and we got to check out the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty. After all of these we got some hot dogs -lunch was pizza 😀- and headed to the Yankees Stadium to watch the game against the Indians (we were almost on the big screen!). I never thought I would say thi...

One night in NYC

Whoa. So after I wrote, we left the hotel -around 7PM- and we walked like 7 block to get the the 5 napkins burger restaurant. It looked amazing, soo vintage and pretty. The food was great -bacon and cheddar burger and vanilla milkshake- and the waitress called me "Ma'am" which made me so happy and feeling mature. During the supper we talked so much and laughed. We felt the freedom that leaving camp gave us. After stuffing our belly we walked all the way to the red steps at Times Square where we met quite a few people from camp. I saw Rebeka, Marie and Hania again, but there were others, too. We took loads of pictures, kept hugging each other, laughing... it was incredible. And then -just as we did last year- Alice and me stood in front of everyone to do a last line up. We sang the red vagon song and we enjoyed it so much, what' more, the tourists around us loved it too! After finishing the first song we wanted to leave, but a newly wed couple asked us to sing one more...

In New York City

I've decided to write as often as possible, even if they are small  blogposts, not the summary of the day. We're here! I can't even believe that after 1 year, I am here again. It is unbelievable... And Im here with the best people ever. One is missing -khmm... Angel!-,  but we survive. So after saying goodbye and crying hours, we left Camp Loyaltown at 12 o'clock. We arrived to NYC at half past 2, so we had planty of time of the day left. It took us more that half an hour to find our accomodation,  but we eventually found it. It's very close to Times Square, and it's reeeally posh (it has it's own gift store inside). As we were getting in the lift, we felt like we're the ladies from Sex and NY... We settled in and after 2 hours of relaxing, we're going to go and stuff our belly. Ugy dontottem, ahelyett, hogy egy nap osszegezve irnam le a torteneseket, inkabb sokat posztolok napkozben. Megerkeztunk! El sem hiszem, hogy egy ev utan ismet itt va...

Hi everyone, So I'm going to travel for 2 weeks, and I am going to visit 2 of the beautiful Hawai'i Islands, New York City and San Francisco. I thought it would be easier to create a blog just for the after-camp travelling, so everybody, who is interested can check-in on me. :) I will try to post as many times and as regularly as possible -both in hungarian and in english-, obviously it will depend on the free wifi of the different areas.  So the first post will arrive soon.  Sziasztok!
