08/28 - A day in New York City

We woke up around 9 AM, but we didn't leave straight. Instead of doing that, we watched The Princess Diaries on TV.
After the movie and getting ready, at 12 we left the accomodation to get some breakfast. We found a place right next to our place called the Urban Place, and it was awesome! We got donuts and coffe/hot chocholate, which was amazing. The place itself was such a vintage place, I would love to go there every day if I'd be an urban.
After breakfast we checked out the Grand Central Station, New York Public Library -absolute favourite of the day, I saw Winnie The Pooh and his friends!!- High Line Park - which is built over train rails-, we took the Staten Island Ferry, which was free and we got to check out the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty. After all of these we got some hot dogs -lunch was pizza 😀- and headed to the Yankees Stadium to watch the game against the Indians (we were almost on the big screen!). I never thought I would say this, but it was actually interesting. There was also a little girl sitting in front of us with her dad and I was playing peeka-boo with her, which was lots of fun.
After the game we headed back to the hotel, and by the time we arrived back it was 12AM.
Sonce the next day we had to wake up at 2 AM, I just took a bath and didn't go to bed at all.

Reggel 9 ora korul ebredtunk fel, de ahelyett, hogy egybol kipattantunk volna az agybol, megmeztuk a Neveletlen hercrgno naploja filmet. Vegul del korul, keszulodes es a film utan nekivagtunk a varosnak, hogy talaljunk valami reggelizo helyet. Nagyjabol 1 blokknyira talaltunk is, meghozza egy Urban Place nevu helyet, ami magaba foglalt tobb apro standot. Reggeli gyanant fankot vettunk es forro csokit vagy kavet, amik nagyon finomak voltak. Maga a hely egy nagyon vintidzs hely, ha helyi lennek, biztosan napi szinten jarnek oda.
Reggeli utan megneztuk a Grand Central Stationt, a kozkonyvtarat -ami a napom fenypontja volt, lattam Micimackot es baratait. AZ EREDETIT!-, a High Line Parkot -ami sinekre epult-,  ezek utan felszalltunk az ingyenes Staten Island Ferry-re, ami egy hatalmas hajo, es ahonnan latni lehetett New York City korvonalait es a Szabadsag Szobrot, vrgul pedig este egy adag hot dog utan megneztuk a Yankees baseball meccset, amit az Indianok rllen jatszottak. Sosem hittem, hogy ezt fogom mondani, de izgalmas es erdekes volt, sot, egyszer nagyon kozel voltunk hozza, hogy a nagykepernyore keruljunk!! Elottem ult egy  tunderi kislany, akivel a meccs alatt kukucskalosat jatszottunk, ugyhogy jol ereztem magam. Vegul ejfel fele hazakerultunk, de a furdomet kovetoen, amit hajnali 1kor fejeztem be, le sem fekudtem, hiszen tudtam, hogy masnap hajnali 2-kor kell kelnunk.

A little summary

New York was the same, stunning self, just as I remembered. It was great to spend that 2 days there with Chloe, Claire and Cris. Hawaii... it felt like home. Of course, if we would have been more prepared or if we had more money it could have been even better. But except a few times, I didn't feel the need. The two islansd were like sky and land. To completely different words. Oahu was more touristy, lost of public transportation in reachable distance, lots of nightlife, tons of tourists. Kauai was...  a real paradise. Not disturbed by anything. (On the island of Kauai the buildings cannot be higher than the biggest palm tree. Its the law). Tons of flowers, natives, traditional dances. The only thing that I missed was the proper public transportation or a car. It was impossible for us to do anything because everything wonderful was at least 2 hours away with car. Which we didn't have. I will go back, because I left a piece of my soul there. I son't feel whole without it....
